Kingfisher rust donates 26 wheelchairs to Red Cross

The Kingfisher Trust on Wednesday donated 26 wheel chairs to The Gambia Red Cross Society.

Speaking to the Daily Observer , Mr Augustine Berewa, administrator of Kingfisher Trust said "we donated the wheel chairs to Red Cross so that it can reach the needy as part of its humanitarian efforts."

He said the donation was "timely" because "even before the Red Cross representatives left our head quarters with the wheel chairs, two people came asking for wheel chairs for their disabled children," he said.

The Red Cross First - Aid officer who received the gifts on behalf of his organisation thanked the Kingfisher Trust..
